This is hands-down the best barbershop in the Utica area. All The Barbers are very experienced and helpful. Sometimes there's a bit of a wait but that only shows how good they are that people are willing to wait that long to get a quality haircut. The service is great, multiple TVs with sports playing while you wait. An ATM available and drinks and snacks. I highly recommend this place and I have been going here religiously for The Last 3 Years.

My husband gets his hair cut here and he's always very happy. He doesn't get the typical barbershop haircuts you see nowadays, just trimmed up and clean looking for work. He's never left unhappy.
However, yesterday was the first time that we brought our 4 year old in for his first barbershop haircut. I didn't catch the barbers name that did his haircut, but I wish I did! He was excellent with our son, who was understandably a bit nervous. He took his time, he was gentle and talked with our son as well as us. And in the end, my son had a beautiful "big boy haircut" and can't wait to go back in a couple of weeks.

Poor Customer service. Went in to get a cut and it was busy as expected. After sitting for 15 min I was informed that there was 5 ahead of me and that if I was in a rush it was going to be a while as there was only 1 person cutting hair. This was around 2:00. I then asked if I could make an appointment or leave and run some errands and have my place held in line, to which I was informed they do not do that. That was Understandable. I left and came back at 3:55 and was stopped buy a gentleman at the door saying she was closing up. The same woman who told me about the 5:00 closing time. Not impressed.

Awful cut. These guys may know how to cut certain styles of men's hair (shorter) but are apparently super limited in what they can do. I have a pretty easy haircut, mid-length on the top, shorter on the sides, swoops to the right. I explained what I wanted (a little shorter, basically just a trim) to the barber and he said he understood. He finishes the haircut - first of all, it's a very short haircut. Not at all what I asked for. At the time - other than getting my preferences completely wrong - it looked okay.!A day later, I've realized that the haircut doesn't even make sense. It's clear the cut has no idea how to do this pretty basic style of cut. It's longer in the back than in the front. It's basically like a combover (except I'm not balding on the top of my hair), rather than keeping the hair on the left and the right basically equal length. It's fine if you don't know how to cut all styles, but the guy acted 100% like he knew what he was doing. Now I have to wear this uneven, sloppy, flat Mohawk thing to a wedding.
