How To Start Playing MesuKing
All Insect Cards
All Technique Cards
The Yakuza series is known for its minigames, and in Yakuza Kiwami, they threw out a particularly wild one. MesuKing: Battle Bug Beauties is a risqué parody of the real-life arcade game Mushiking. It features beautiful women, violent elbow drops, and "Bug Proverbs." How could such a game not become the hottest new thing with the youth?

At its core, MesuKing is just rock-paper-scissors with extra steps. There's still a surprising amount of content surrounding this minigame - several substories, a Majima Everywhere encounter, and a lot of cards to collect. You won't be able to get very far with the starter MesuKing cards, so keep your eyes peeled for more hidden in every corner of Kamurocho.
How To Start Playing MesuKing
Walk in front of the Club SEGA on Tenkaichi Street to trigger a cutscene. Kiryu will pick up a strange trading card, and a little boy in a lab coat asks for it back. Follow him into Club SEGA to learn more about the game. The Professor will give you an Insect card, three Technique cards, and show you how MesuKing battles work.
After the introduction, you'll be able to find MesuKing cards throughout the city. They appear as a glowing red butterfly on the ground. Some of them are in tricky places that require going into first-person view (Right Stick on a gamepad). Most cards are in the overworld, but some have to be bought or won through a substory.
There are 59 total MesuKing cards in the game. You'll need to collect at least 50 of them to advance to the final substory, "Battle For The MesuKing Throne". The minigame's entry on the Completion List only requires 45 cards.
